LUNA-FILM GMBH

Ever since its foundation in 1980 by Gudrun Ruzicková-Steiner LUNA-Film has produced feature films with the clear focus on debuts and the upcoming generation of filmmakers, especially within the arthouse film section.

LUNA-Film’s principal aim is to identify and support up-and-coming independent directors and authors. With an average of two productions a year LUNA-Film is continuously present on the national and international film market.

In December 2005 Nikolaus and Claudius Lohmann joined the company as contributories. With the two new managing partners LUNA-Film will expand its producing involvement on new focuses, especially on the sector of European co-productions, as well as pure TV productions, feature films and likewise TV series. Together with strong partners, LUNA-Film aims to offer a longer-distanceperspective beyond the debut films to their young and talented film makers.

LUNA- Film successfully produced more than 20 films with directors and authors like Dani Levy, Angela Schanelec or Sandra Nettelbeck.
